U.S. patent holder litigants from calendar years 2010 and 2012 identified by entity type. Authors personally hand-coded data, and the data was first analyzed in Christopher Cotropia, Jay Kesan, and David Schwartz, \"Unpacking Patent Assertion Entities (PAEs)\", 99 Minn. L. Rev. 649 (2014).
