The purpose of this series was to record leave taken by school teachers. Several types of cards comprise the series. Some card types are indicated below but there was continuing change over time. The single leave card There is a single card or series of cards for each teacher . The cards are headed by the teacher's full name, serial number, date of birth, and date of appointment . Also given is the teacher's position and Department or branch code. Notes may indicate major position changes. Leave taken is presented in tabular form. Showing the period of leave and whether this has been recreation, sick , extended, short, special, without pay or military leave. There is a remarks column normally used to indicate the reason for sick leave. or other type of leave. Sick Leave CardsThese record only leave taken as sick leave. The header information includes the full name and serial number of the teacher, date of birth and temporary or permanent appointment. Leave information shows the school t0 which the teacher was appointed and periods of leave on full pay, half pay or without pay and there is a column for remarks. The rear of the card shows special leave which could be granted for compassionate purposes, union duties or other purposesLong Service Leave CardsThese cards are headed by the full name and serial number of the teacher, date of birth and appointment. Long service Leave is tabulated showing the year, inclusive dates and remarks which include whether the leave was taken on full or half pay. The cards are filed into one alphabetical sequence.When requesting cards please provide the teacher's name and check for the item in which the name range may be located.

病假卡片：此类卡片仅记录教师的病假休假情况。卡片头部信息包含教师姓名、工号、出生日期以及临时/正式聘用信息。休假信息栏会标注教师任职的学校、全薪、半薪或无薪休假时段，并设有备注栏。卡片背面可登记特殊休假信息，包括因人道主义关怀、工会履职或其他事由获批的休假。
长期服务休假卡片：此类卡片以教师姓名、工号、出生日期及入职日期作为头部信息。长期服务休假情况以表格形式呈现，列明休假年度、起止日期及备注信息，备注中会标注休假为全薪还是半薪。所有卡片均按字母顺序归档。
如需调取卡片，请提供教师姓名，并确认姓名所属的字母归档区间。
