Periodic splay Fréedericksz transitions in a ferroelectric nematic

The data represent experimental dependencies of the optical response of a ferroelectric nematic liquid crystal planar cell to an externally applied electric field of a high frequency such as 200 kHz. The field causes oscillatory response of the polarization as well as stationary deformations of the splay-twist stripes and splay-bend square lattices.
