Share of hospitals empanelled under PM-JAY in India FY 2023, by type

In financial year 2023, over 28 thousand hospitals in India were empaneled under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). Public hospitals accounted for 44 percent of the total empaneled hospitals. Under the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY scheme, the country provided secondary and tertiary care for over 120 million families during that year.
