Pigeon pea defense response against Helicoverpa is not well characterized; therefore, a study was performed to understand the defense mechanism in pigeon pea. We have collected leaf samples from two different pigeon pea cultivars (ICPL 332, ICLP 8) and wild types (ICP 15761, ICP 15738) after treating with Helicoverpa armigera regurgitant and transcriptome analyses were carried out.
