The influence of transition intermediaries on decarbonisation-oriented policy and institutional change in socio-technical transitions
收藏资源简介:
My thesis examines approaches that transition intermediary organisations have taken for decarbonisation-oriented institutional change in an Australian institutional context. It employs a diverse case strategy with cases across industry sectors and social domains (government and market). Findings from cases and interviews indicate that in a political economy highly dependent on extractive industries, transition intermediaries benefit from coalescing with political and industry incumbents with diverging agendas, to navigate the politics of the decarbonisation transition. My thesis delivers a conceptual framework that can be used to examine transition intermediation in other political economies reliant on extractive industries and fossil fuel intensive sectors.
