Holographic Detector for Clouds (HOLODEC 2). Version 1.0

This dataset contains measurements of cloud particle size distributions collected during the HEFT10 project using an airborne holographic instrument (HOLODEC 2) mounted on the NSF/NCAR Gulfstream V (N677F). The data are recorded in a raw video stream that is processed using a MATLAB script to a series of lossless 8-bit grayscale .png files with the filenames serving as the time stamps. Each image file is about 11 or 12 MB from the 4872x3248 8-bit pixels or compressed to about 2/3 of the raw. Images are combined into 1-minute log tarfiles. To help analyze the data, movies (800x600, mpeg4) of each image series are also available.
