资源简介:
This essay offers an interpretation of Pier Paolo Pasolini's political verses by considering the theoretical standings of the poet and the thematical and retorical analysis of the poetic texts written throughout Pasolini's life. This study highlights the profound connection between Pasolini and Italian literary tradition for what concerns the civil field, from which he sources the writing style and tone; the latter can vary wildly from an elegy to a tirade, and it reaches peaks of pungent sarcasm. Pasolini wishes for the realisation of a pragmatic idealism in politics, and that this idealism would have, as its main aim, the conscious involvement of the general public in state matters: such an ideological stance could be considered to be metapolitical, since it distances itself from the kind of politics expressed as a more or less devious display of power while hiding behind the walls of the Palace or inside the party headquarters.
