Bacterial Cellulose Films Enriched with Herbal Extracts: In Vitro Assessment for Wound Dressing Applications

This dataset contains the raw experimental data supporting a study on bacterial cellulose (BC) films enriched with oregano and lovage ethanolic extracts for wound healing applications. The data include measurements related to bioactivity of extracts, BC film characterization (thickness, structure, mechanical properties), and results from antibacterial and cytocompatibility assays. The study evaluates the influence of extract incorporation on the functional and biological performance of BC compared to a commercial dressing (Epicyte hydro®). The findings highlight that BC enriched with lovage extract promotes cell viability and migration, while oregano extract enhances antimicrobial activity.
