Dataset: News Coverage of Gender Equality in the Spanish Digital Press – Thematic Analysis and Content Curation (CAS Method)

Dataset associated with a study on news coverage of gender equality in six Spanish digital newspapers (eldiario.es, El País, El Periódico, El Salto, Infolibre, Público). Contains thematic coding of 316 articles published during the first half of 2024 by journalists specializing in gender and equality. Includes: (1) a table of article characteristics and thematic classification into four blocks (IDV, FMT, PJL, LGBTV); (2) results of source curation analysis using the CAS (Curation Analysis System) method across all six outlets; and (3) the coding sheet with definitions and parameters used for the CAS analysis.
