资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic DMS and DMSP made by Brian King, oceanic and atmospheric carbon dioxide by J. Robertson and oceanic halocarbons made by Thomas Haine and Sue Turner during the Discovery 200 research cruise in the Indian and Southern Ocean as part of World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE). The cruise began on 6th February 1993 and ended on 18th March 1993 with a spatial coverage of +41S to +65S latitude and +17E to +85E longitude.
The data consists of:
-102 measurements of the concentration of dimethylsulphoniopropionate (DMSP) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved) by Millipore prefiltration and gas chromatography;
-108 measurements of the concentration of dimethylsulphoniopropionate (DMSP) per unit volume of the water column (particulate) by Millipore prefiltration and gas chromatography;
-101 measurements of the concentration of dimethyl sulphide (DMS) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by purging, cryogenic trapping and gas chromatography; and
-275 measurements of the concentration of tetrachloromethane (carbon tetrachloride) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by purging, cryogenic trapping and gas chromatography.
-measurements of oceanic carbon dioxide
-measurements of atmospheric carbon dioxide
-measurements of oceanic methyl iodide
