Nuclear Type I Myosins are Essential for Life and Genome Organization

The goal of this study is to assess the importance of type I myosin motors in the nucleus. An anchor-away strategy was used to conditionally deplete type I myosins from the nucleus of budding yeast and changes in physiological markers were assessed over time. Overall, nuclear type I myosins are essential for nuclear form and function.
