Environmental Planning Instrument - Land Zoning

This spatial dataset identifies land use zones and the type of land uses that are permitted (with or without consent) or prohibited in each zone on any given land as designated by the relevant NSW environmental planning instrument (EPI) under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. Land use zones are grouped into the following broad categories: BUSINESS (B), ENVIRONMENT (E), INDUSTRIAL (IN), RESIDENTIAL (R), RECREATION (RE), RURAL (RU), SPECIAL (SP) and WATERWAYS (W). \r\nThe specific EPI which defines the planning requirement is described in the attribute field EPI_Name. The EPI can be viewed on the NSW legislation website: www.legislation.nsw.gov.au\r\n\r\nContact [e-mail]_ for a data package (shapefile and geodatabase).

本空间数据集可识别任意给定地块的土地用途分区，以及由新南威尔士州（New South Wales，简称NSW）依据《1979年环境规划与评估法》指定的对应环境规划工具（environmental planning instrument，简称EPI）所划定的各分区内允许（需经审批或无需审批）或禁止的土地用途类型。

土地用途分区可划分为以下大类：商业用地（BUSINESS，缩写B）、环境用地（ENVIRONMENT，缩写E）、工业用地（INDUSTRIAL，缩写IN）、居住用地（RESIDENTIAL，缩写R）、休闲用地（RECREATION，缩写RE）、乡村用地（RURAL，缩写RU）、特殊用地（SPECIAL，缩写SP）以及水域用地（WATERWAYS，缩写W）。
