Land occupancy mode (MOS) in 11 positions in 2017

Land use mode in Ile de France in 2017 in 11 legendary posts at the footstep of 25 m. The Mos (Modes d’Occupation du Sol) is the computerised cartographic atlas of land use of Île-de-France. Updated regularly since its first edition in 1982, the Mos allows to monitor and analyse in detail the evolution of land use throughout the regional territory. The first complete inventory of land use in Île-de-France (Modes d’Occupation des Soils: MOS) dates from 1982. Since then, the Mos has been updated eight times (1987, 1990, 1994, 1999, 2003, 2008 and 2012). Thanks to these very regular updates and its precision at the same time thematic (the basic nomenclature has 81 legend posts) and geometric (accuracy of 1/5000) the Mos allows to visualise and analyse in detail the evolution of regional land use: extension of urbanisation, transformation of urban fabrics, transformation of rural spaces... Each update of the Mos is based on a complete aerial photographic coverage of the Île-de-France and various additional sources of information (administrative files, information sent by the municipalities, etc.). Like the previous update, the 2012 update was performed directly on the screen, using a 12.5 cm resolution regional color digital orthophotography acquired from InterAtlas.
