药用植物，是指医学上用于防病、治病的植物。其植株的全部或一部分供药用或作为制药工业的原料。可包括用作营养剂、某些嗜好品、调味品、色素添加剂，及农药和兽医用药的植物资源。药用植物种类繁多，其药用部分各不相同。基于本库可为中药的生产、加工、检验、使用提供咨询，是医药工作者、植物学工作者常用的资料。主要展示了植物名称及对应的野外分布信息、所在植物园信息及其他相关照片、文献等信息。

Medicinal plants refer to plants utilized for disease prevention and treatment in medical practice. All or part of their tissues (aerial or underground) can be used for medicinal purposes or as raw materials for the pharmaceutical industry. This category also covers plant resources that serve as nutritional supplements, certain recreational consumables, seasonings, pigment additives, as well as raw materials for pesticides and veterinary pharmaceuticals. There is a vast variety of medicinal plant species, with different plant parts serving as medicinal materials. This database can provide consulting services for the production, processing, quality inspection and application of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), making it a frequently used reference resource for medical practitioners and botanists.
