We sequenced hundreds of genes, using anchored hybrid enrichment (AHE) target capture protocols, of representative species of hawkmoths, silk moths, and related families in the moth superfamily Bombycoidea, in order to study the timing and diversification patterns in the evolution of this charismatic and economically important group of Lepidoptera.
