Comparative chromatin conformation analysis of allopolyploid Trichosporon fungi and close relatives

We utilized Hi-C chromatin conformation capture technique to probe 3-dimensional chromatin structures in two allopolyploid Basidiomycota fungi of the genus Trichosporon, T. coremiiforme and T. ovoides, and their three non-polyploid close relatives, T. asahii, T. faecale, and T. inkin. These data would elucidate both the physical interactions between homeologous genomes and the rearrangements of chromatin structure following genome hybridization event. Culture samples were provided by the Japan Collection of Microorganisms at RIKEN BioResource Center. Strains identification numbers are as follow: JCM 2938 for T. coremiiforme, JCM 9940 for T. ovoides, JCM 2466 for T. asahii, JCM 2941 for T. faecale, and JCM 9195 for T. inkin. Library were prepared using NEBNext Ultra II DNA Library Prep and NEBNext Multiplex Oligos kits for Illumina. Paired-end sequencing were performed using Illumina HiSeq 1500 in rapid mode at the Department of Bacteriology, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Kyushu University. On average, 400 million paired-end reads were obtained per samples.
