The Berlin Pulse - After the 2021 Federal Election

The study after the 2021 Federal Election, part of the annual “The Berlin Pulse” series, was conducted by Kantar Public on behalf of the Körber Foundation. During the survey period from October 12, 2021, to October 14, 2021, eligible voters in Germany were interviewed by telephone (CATI) on the following topics: Olaf Scholz´s competence as Federal Chancellor and party preference. Respondents were selected using a multi-stage random sample including landline and mobile phone numbers (dual-frame sample). Assessment of Olaf Scholz´s competence as chancellor compared to Angela Merkel with regard to representing Germany´s interests in the world; party preference in the federal election (Sunday question). Demography: sex; age; occupation; education; net household income. Additional variables coded: respondent ID; federal state; region (west/east); political municipality size class; weighting factor.
