资源简介:
Water column temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen were collected using Seagliders in the Arctic Ocean, along a transect west of Spitsbergen during three missions between October 2020 and February 2023. The dataset is provided as separate gridded netCDF data files, one per mission. In addition to the profiles of temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen in the upper 1000 m, depth-averaged currents (DAC) between consecutive surfacings of the glider are provided. The data set is collected as a part of the Svalbard Integrated Arctic Earth Observing System - Infrastructure development of the Norwegian node (SIOS InfraNOR), funded by the Research Council of Norway.
The gridded netCDF files are:
sg562_WSC_2020.nc, between 7 October 2020 and 10 February 2021
sg560_WSC_2021.nc, between 3 Aug 2021 and 20 Feb 2022
sg560_WSC_2022.nc, between 22 July 2022 and 8 February 2023
Each file contains the mission data vertically binned at regular 1-m intervals, combining the up and down profiles extracted from the trajectory of the glider between subsequent surfacings. The profiles are not vertically interpolated. Additionally, two different data products are provided for each mission: individual netCDF files per trajectory, and a single netCDF file that contains the entire mission data in a timeseries. These two files are direct outputs from the Basestation3 software. The individual netCDF files per dive-climb cycle include all recorded data, glider settings for the specific dive, calibration coefficients, quality controlled data and any derived parameters, with associated quality flags. The merged mission timeseries file includes raw and quality controlled data, with associated flags. The gridded mission files have gone through additional automated and manual quality control, and only a selection of variables is provided for the end-user, as combined columns of vertical profiles.
The user is referred to the comments in each file for mission and processing specific details.
