VPRS 14515 File Prints of Photographs [Publications Branch]

The photographs in this series were accumulated by the Publications Unit of the Department of Education and Training. They depict schools, school students, teachers, maps, educational activities and other education-related subject-matter.Most of the photographs have FILE printed in the centre of the image, and the number handwritten in the corner. (VPRS 14517 Negatives of Photographs [Publications Branch] can be used to make copies not including the FILE label. Note that a useable negative may not exist for each file photograph, and vice-versa.)Information included on the back of the photograph may include an alpha-numeric identifier (ie D25), one or more handwritten or typewritten descriptions and a date. It is unclear whether the date refers to when the photograph was taken, labeled, filed etc.The method used to index these photographs is subject to further research.
