Sample Water Waste from Johor, Malaysia

This sample was collected from a wastewater treatment facility located in Johor, Malaysia. The sample represents untreated or partially treated municipal/industrial wastewater and was collected as part of a microbial community profiling project. The aim was to investigate microbial diversity, community structure, and the presence of genes related to antibiotic resistance, biodegradation, or public health relevance. DNA was extracted using a standard environmental DNA protocol and subjected to high-throughput shotgun sequencing to generate metagenomic data. This sample provides insights into the microbial ecology of Southeast Asian wastewater and may serve as a reference for comparative analyses, environmental surveillance, or public health studies.
