Data and Code for: Development and Evaluation of a Relative Soil Condition Index for Tropical Plantain and Banana Agroecosystems in the Colombian Andes
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the anonymized dataset, complete R code, supplementary tables, and publication figures supporting the study “Development and Evaluation of a Relative Soil Condition Index for Tropical Plantain and Banana Agroecosystems in the Colombian Andes.” The dataset comprises 72 soil sampling units nested within 36 plantain- and banana-producing farms distributed across six municipalities in the Department of Quindío, Colombia: Armenia, Buenavista, Calarcá, Génova, Montenegro, and Quimbaya. Two plots were evaluated within each farm. The dataset includes physical, chemical, and microbiological soil indicators, estimated farm-level yield, and the variables required to calculate the relative Soil Condition Index (SCI). The accompanying R code reproduces the descriptive analyses, within-farm variability assessment, municipality-level comparisons based on independent farm means, principal component analysis, SCI calculation, sensitivity analysis, correlations with yield, relative farm classification, supplementary tables, and publication figures. To protect participant privacy, names of producers and farms, email addresses, detailed locations, laboratory report identifiers, and exact geographic coordinates were removed. Farms, plots, and samples are represented by synthetic anonymous codes. Municipality is the finest geographic level retained. The repository includes: • An anonymized analytical dataset containing 72 sampling units from 36 farms• A complete variable dictionary• Reproducible R code• An anonymized Excel workbook containing Supplementary Tables S1–S5• Figures 1–4 in PNG and publication-quality TIFF formats• Figure captions, citation information, metadata, license, and integrity checksums Municipality-level statistical comparisons, principal component analysis, SCI–yield relationships, and relative classifications use the 36 farms as the independent analytical units. The relative SCI and its classification thresholds are specific to the analyzed dataset and should not be interpreted as normative soil-quality standards. The data and associated materials are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license.
