This study finding is heterogenous nature of phloem-specific protein bodies in pioneer roots of Populus trichocarpa. Aim of this work was identification of genes encoding phloem-specific proteins, and examining their expression pattern. Methods used to obtain the data were: BLAST - P-protein encoding gene identification; MAP tool - gene distribution across the genome; MEME tool - identification of conserved peptide motifs; SMART - peptide motif analysis; MEGA 11 - phylogenetic analysis; single-nucleus RNA- sequencing - gene expression analysis; RT-qPCR - gene expression analysis; LC-MS/MS - proteome analysis by liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry.
