Development of long non-coding RNA (LncRNAs) signature for T-DM1 treatment outcome

To extend our understanding of the role long non-coding RNAs in treatment outcome, we have analyzed microarray expression profiling as a discovery platform to identify LncRNAs for distinguishing patients who response to T-DM1 for decision making segregation of patients who to reveice further treatment. Blood samples from HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer patients were collected, and a 4-lncRNA signature was identified that distinguished bwteen treatment resistant and sensitive patients. Gene expression profiling from blood serum was analyzed from 10 T-DM1 resistant and 10 T-DM1 sensitive patients
