Black and white lantern slide showing a soldier walking away from a thatch hut. He carries a bowl in his hand a wears shorts and a ragged, light vest. A bottle can be seen on the ground behind him. Wood, possibly firewood, can be seen piled up by the side of the hut. This slide comes from a set on the activities of the King’s African Rifles battalions in Nyasaland. It was originally held by the Church of Scotland, and generated by J.W MacKay.
