2010 Ice Watch Joint Ocean Ice Study (JOIS) Sea Ice Observation Program

The cruise occurred September 15 to October 15, 2010, providing a perspective of the start of freeze-up throughout the Beaufort Sea. Attention should be given when comparing the 2010 to other years (2006-2008), as the 2009 and 2010 cruises occurred a month later in the season than previous cruises due to the fact that we experienced the beginning of the freeze season for the entirety of the cruise track. Ship-based sea ice observation data collected along the CCGS Louis S. St. Laurent ship track during the late melt to early freeze-up season.本次科考航次于2010年9月15日至10月15日实施，为探究波弗特海（Beaufort Sea）全域的海冰初冻起始过程提供了一手观测资料。在将2010年航次数据与2006至2008年的同期数据进行对比时，需特别留意：2009年与2010年的航次相较于此前航次，作业季节延后了一个月，原因在于本次航次的全部航段均处于海冰初冻时段。 本数据集包含沿CCGS路易斯·圣·洛朗号（CCGS Louis S.
