In the present study, the phenotypes, physiology and microstructure of Cd-tolerant CZ074 and Cd-sensitive CZ081 with different Cd tolerance were studied, and the comparative transcriptome analysis of roots, stems and leaves of the two amaranth varieties before and after cadmium treatment was carried out. Our study aims to identify the key processes and genes responsible for Cd tolerance and transport, and the target gene was verified the biological function. These data could be helpful to uncover the molecular mechanisms related to Cd tolerance and accumulation in root, which provides a foundation for further improving the efficiency of Cd phytoextraction, and provide new insights into the molecular assisted breeding of amaranth.
