资源简介:
One of the key alterations within solid tumors involves hypoxia, defined as oxygen tension below non-physiological levels. In liver cancer, hypoxia promotes disease progression through effects on cancer and non-cancer cells alike, impacting diverse processes including cell metabolism, proliferation, programmed cell death pathways, angiogenesis, metastasis, resistance to radiotherapy and systemic therapies.Consequently, defining how tumor cells benefit from reprogramming to survive challenging environmental conditions such as hypoxia has clear importance for identifying novel therapeutic targets and advancing treatments. In this study, we focus on the role of the hypoxia-responsive long noncoding RNA SHIELD in regulating ferroptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma.
