资源简介:

This dataset contains the processed data products and analysis code associated with the study “Agricultural liming is a carbon sink in the Mississippi River Basin.”, currently under review in Nature. The archive includes spatially explicit reconstructions of agricultural lime inputs and anthropogenic acidity sources across the Mississippi River Basin, together with the corresponding uncertainty layers. It also contains inputs and outputs from SCEPTER reactive-transport simulations forced with precipitation and precipitation-minus-evapotranspiration, including annual basin-integrated CO₂-emissions trajectories for the additional input-uncertainty simulations used in the study. Spatial products are generally provided on a 1° × 1° grid for 1900–2015. The archive further includes annual Lower Mississippi River chemistry data, processed bicarbonate-flux records, and Python code used to calculate excess alkalinity export and propagate uncertainty using a combined Monte Carlo and bootstrap procedure. These materials support the spatial acid–base accounting, reactive-transport modeling, river-flux analysis, and uncertainty assessments presented in the associated article and Supplementary Information. The deposited products are processed and derived research data. Users should consult the accompanying README and the associated publication for full descriptions of the underlying data sources, processing steps, model configuration, assumptions, units, and uncertainty treatment. Third-party source data remain subject to their original licences and terms of use. Data products and model outputs created for this study are licensed under CC BY 4.0.
