资源简介:
Non-tuberculous mycobacteria species are ubiquitous in the environment. Many of these organisms are harmless but a select few cause significant human diseases including the emerging species Mycobacteroides abscessus (MAB). MAB is devastating pathogen among people with cystic fibrosis (pwCF) that demonstrates considerable genetic variability both between and within infected individuals. Over the past 50 years, 7 Dominate Clonal Clusters (DCCs) have emerged, are responsible for majority of human infections, and are more pathogenic in the laboratory. To investigate the genetic differenced of DCC1 isolate we collected isolates from 26 MAB-positive pwCF over a three-year period from a previous uninvestigated population of MAB colonized individuals at the CF@tlanta Cystic Fibrosis centers. Genome were sequencing, phenotyping, genotyping, and GWAS was used to identify genomic features associated subclassed of isolates.
