The small carpenter bees (genus Ceratina) are a diverse and cosmopolitan group, with approximately 380 species found across all continents. They are also ethologically diverse, exhibiting a range of nesting behaviours from solitary to social. Our study present the most complete phylogeny of the genus Ceratina to date, supported by a robust ultraconserved element (UCE) dataset including hundreds of loci.
