Unexplored microbiome of rice has the potential to enhance nutrient use efficiency under elevated CO2 and temperature. In recent times experimentation from India confirmed that elevated CO2 (550ppm) and temperature (2°C above ambient throughout the year) significantly increases soil enzymatic activities (functional microbial diversities) and GHGs emissions from rice-rice cropping system. But the specific roles played by the microbial communities under elevated CO2 (550ppm) and temperature is needed to be studied.
