RNA-Seq of murine CD4+ T cells

BOB.1/OBF.1 is a lymphocyte-specific transcriptional co-activator involved in octamer-dependent transcription. BOB.1/OBF.1 has long been considered a B cell specific factor and was mainly studied in B cells. The most striking characteristic of BOB.1/OBF.1-deficient mice is the complete absence of germinal centers (GCs). So far, this defect was mainly attributed to the defective B cell compartment, while the contribution of BOB.1/OBF.1 expression in T cells for the GC reaction is unknown. To further clarify the role of BOB.1/OBF.1 expression in T cells and to identify differntially expressed genes in CD4+ T cells in the absence of BOB.1/OBF.1 we isolated CD4+ T cells from Pou2af1fl/fl x CD4-Cre and CD4-Cre controls and performed RNA-seq analysis.
