Sequencing of BMDMs stimulated by C3a

Muscle fibrosis is a severe complication of acute skeletal muscle injury, characterized by excessive deposition of collagen. Currently, there are no effective therapeutic agents available in the clinic for this condition. Quercetin is a bioactive flavonoid with anti-inflammatory effects, yet it is still unclear the corresponding mechanisms.The complement system is an important contributor to innate and adaptive immune responses. Proteins of the complement system are mainly produced by the liver and widely distributed in blood and tissues, among which the most abundant complement protein is C3.Apart from its role in infection and inflammatory tissue damage, some literatures have indicated the role of C3a/C3aR in tissue and organ regenerationTherefore, in the current study, we extracted total RNA-seq from mouse BMDMs induced by C3a and analyzed for MMT downstream genes. Using RNA-seq combined with network pharmacology to investigate the mechanism of how quercetin treat muscle fibrosis.
