First annotated checklist of fungi of Costa Rica 2024. Searchable Excel database

This dataset is the first comprehensive checklist of fungi documented in Costa Rica, developed through collaboration between local and international mycological experts. It is based on 877 publications documenting over 170 years of mycological research in the country, including approximately 9,753 records and 5,682 species and subspecific taxa across 1,648 genera. The checklist provides detailed information on supraspecific taxonomic ranks, accepted species names with authors, synonyms with authors, and corresponding literature references.本数据集为首个针对哥斯达黎加已记录真菌的综合分类名录（checklist），由本土与国际真菌学专家协作编制。该名录依托877篇文献搭建而成，涵盖该国170余年间的真菌学研究成果，共收录约9753条记录，涉及1648个属内的5682个物种及亚种级分类单元（subspecific taxa）。本名录详细提供了种以上分类阶元（supraspecific taxonomic ranks）、带命名者的公认有效物种学名、带命名者的异名，以及对应的文献引用信息。
