This study’s aims were as follows: (1) compare the structural and content patterns between five Miscanthus cp genomes; (2) explore sequence divergence hotspot regions in the five Miscanthus cp genomes; (3) examine variations of repeat sequences among the five Miscanthus cp genomes, including potential microsatellite markers; (4) assess phylogenetic relationships among the five Miscanthus species and other closely related species. The results will provide abundant information for further species identification, taxonomy and phylogenetic resolution of Miscanthus, and assistin exploration and utilization of Miscanthus plants.
