The SMAP/SMOS unified L-band brightness temperature in 2020 product provides daily brightness temperature for the Arctic sea area. A linear regression analysis was performed on SMAP and SMOS using years of data to provide a brightness temperature product with consistent radiation performance. Then the SMOS was modified into SMAP equivalent brightness temperature. The dataset includes the calibrated SMOS brightness temperature and the fusion product. The fusion product consists of the calibrated SMOS brightness temperature and the SMAP brightness temperature data (taking the average of the SMAP and calibrated SMOS brightness temperature). Horizontal and vertical polarization brightness temperature data are provided in Kelvin. The SMAP brightness temperature dataset was produced based on SMAP L1B data (Version 5). The SMOS brightness temperature dataset was produced based on the SMOS L1C data (V724). The average brightness temperature of SMOS satellite at incident angle from 38.5° to 42.5° were used to generate equivalent brightness temperature at incident angle of 40°. The dataset is projected in EASE-Grid 2.0 projection. The dataset is in netCDF4 format and its spatial resolution is 25 km.
