This dataset was captured by utilising the best available \nsource at a variety of scales and accuracies, ranging from 1:500 to \n1:250 000 according to the National Mapping Council of Australia, \nStandards of Map Accuracy (1975). Therefore, the position of the feature\n instance will be within 0.5mm at map scale for 90% of the well-defined \npoints. 组成NSW兴趣点类别的教育服务要素包括：
1. 小学：面向5至12岁儿童的教育设施，涵盖公办与民办两类。本点要素数据集属于兴趣点类别，小学点位均布设其所属的地籍宗地内。
2. 中学：面向12至18岁青少年的教育设施，涵盖公办与民办两类。本点要素数据集属于兴趣点类别，中学点位均布设其所属的地籍宗地内。
3. 中小学一体化学校：为5至17岁儿童提供全日制小学与中学教育的综合设施。本点要素数据集属于兴趣点类别，此类学校点位均布设其所属的地籍宗地内。
4. 学前班：为学龄前儿童（通常为5岁以下）提供学前教育的设施。本点要素数据集属于兴趣点类别，学前班点位均布设其所属的地籍宗地内。
5. 技术学院：高等职业技术教育（TAFE）类机构，不含普通高等院校。本点要素数据集属于兴趣点类别，技术学院点位均布设其所属的地籍宗地内。
6. 大学：开展高深学科教学与考核并有权授予学位的教育机构。本点要素数据集属于兴趣点类别，大学点位均布设其所属的地籍宗地内。

上述要素不属于十大基础空间数据主题范畴，因此单独划分为一个兴趣点类别。该数据集历史上由新南威尔士州空间服务部门作为州地形测绘项目的一部分采集，因此具备收录价值。

精度说明：本数据集与新南威尔士州空间数据框架（NSW FSDF）的多个主题（包括交通、影像、定位、水系与土地覆盖）保持位置关联与坐标对齐。本数据集依据澳大利亚国家测绘委员会1975年发布的《地图精度标准》，采用多比例尺、多精度的最优数据源进行采集，比例尺覆盖范围为1:500至1:250000。因此，90%的明确要素点位在对应比例尺下的位置误差不超过0.5毫米，具体换算如下：1:500比例尺对应0.25米，1:2000对应1米，1:4000对应2米，1:25000对应12.5米，1:50000对应25米，1:100000对应50米。目前，本数据集的空间位置与精度升级工作正在持续推进中。
