Evaluation of Air Temperature and Energy Fluxes in a Convection-Permitting Dynamical Downscaling over the Contiguous United States

Description of the data and file structure This dataset includes a subset of data from two convection-permitting regional climate model simulations driven by the version 4.2.1 of the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model coupled with different land surface models. The first simulation, the Argonne Downscaled Data Archive Version 2 (ADDA_V2), is coupled with the Unified Noah land surface model. The second simulation, Noah_MP, is coupled with the Noah multiparameterization (Noah-MP) land surface model. This subset includes 2-m temperature and the following surface variables: albedo, snow coverage, snow water equivalent, downwelling shortwave flux, upwelling shortwave flux, downwelling longwave flux, upwelling longwave flux, sensible heat flux, latent heat flux, and ground heat flux. This subset covers the Contiguous United States from March to May, 2011.
