The Ontology of Leakage and Dynamic Mask: Toward an Integrated Theory of the Subject as a Process of Instability Regulation

Abstract This article redefines the fundamental concepts of the subject, identity, ethics, and the relationship with the world on the basis of the principle of “radical instability of being.” The central argument is that what we call “being” is not a static substance but a perpetual process of “leakage”—the simultaneous production and collapse of every form of existence. Consequently, the subject is no longer a fixed center of experience but “the temporary effect of the organization of this leakage.” Within this framework, notions such as “mask,” the “gap between word and deed,” “consciousness,” and “ethics” are all redefined as mechanisms for regulating the intensity of leakage. Masks are dynamic, structural tools, not ethical mechanisms of concealment. The gap between word and deed is not a defect or contradiction but the natural result of the “asynchronous multi-layeredness” of the layers of speech, action, experience, and regulation. Finally, consciousness is defined not as a controller but as “a witness to the regulation of instability,” and ethics becomes the capacity to live consciously within instability without the illusion of stability. This philosophical apparatus, named “the ontology of leakage and dynamic mask,” claims that the human being is not an entity with a fixed identity but a perpetual process of regulating instability.
