Insights into Water Vapor Uptake by Dry Soils using a Global Eddy Covariance Observation Network

Data supporting the manuscript accepted in Global Change Biology. This repository contains the following datasets: heatmaps.csv – primary data generated from the original FLUXNET datasets. texture_template.csv – primary data generated from soil water retention curves published by Hohenbrink et al. (2023). site_ancillary_sva.csv – primary data derived from freely available satellite products and EC site data. Result-supporting data used for central conclusions: classification_metrics.csv – summary of metrics describing the match between heatmap observations and texture template classes. frequency_duration.csv and frequency_duration_summary.csv – site-level frequency of SVA detection. Details of the raw data sources are provided in the respective README files. The workflow is illustrated in fig01, which is also the first figure of the accepted Manuscript.
