Pollen measurements in the Basque Country during 2020

Pollens are microscopic grains that form in the flowers of plants for reproductive purposes. Its presence is a frequent cause of allergy (polynosis) leading to, among other discomforts, acute symptoms of asthma, rhinitis or conjunctivitis. All plants, trees, herbs, shrubs and weeds produce pollen. This process takes place throughout the year, although it is true that spring is the most prone to the appearance of allergies, because it is the time of greatest polynic production.
