M. tuberculosis Zaragoza (MTZ) was widespread in Zaragoza and reached 18.7% of the cultures of M. tuberculosis from 2001 to 2004 (1). This strain was described as a modern strain assigned at the Principal Genetic Group 3, included in SNPs Cluster Group 6a and a rare type based on the Spoligotype SIT773 (2). The copies of IS6110 in MTZ were mapped in a previous study (3). 1.
