Political Resistance in Global Independent Publishing: A Digital Humanities Analysis
收藏资源简介:
These are the datasets of my MA thesis: Political Resistance in Global Independent Publishing: A Digital Humanities Analysis. This thesis aims to investigate independent publishing as political resistance through Digital Humanities approaches. Based on the theoretical background of alternative media and everyday resistance, this study explores the subtle resistance encompassed in the themes and practices of independent publishing. It also seeks to expand the analysis to the global level, with emphasis on the previously overlooked publications from the Global South. The datasets comprise content summaries of 1105 publications and self-descriptions of 182 publishers, which were manually collected from the websites of independent publishers, PDF catalogs from independent publishers, and Instagram posts by independent publishers.
