Avenue concept

The alley concept includes existing and planned rows of trees within the city of Zurich, but also some in planningally important areas and some outside the city border. **Purpose**: On October 16, 1991, the city council (taken “accepted”) issued the alley concept with the intention of increasing the number of trees in the city. The Allen Concept is intended to achieve this goal by showing planners, projecters and builders where existing rows of trees are to be added and where new rows of trees are to be created. By tracking the existing rows of trees in the alley concept, it also serves as an instructor to control the implementation.
