Protecting Monsoonal Vine Thickets at One Arm Point (Bardi Jawi Oorany)

This project will build the capacity of the Bardi Jawi Women Rangers (Oorany) to collect and propagate native seeds for use in the replacement of pest plants. The project will be protecting remnant patches of Federally (listed) Endangered Monsoon Vine Thicket and surrounding savannah. The project will have a direct positive effect on these places of significance.
Indigenous plant resources contribute to health of Bardi Jawi country and culture. It is important that all these plant resources continue to be used and protected to ensure that knowledge is passed on to the younger generation.
