California NWS Alerts

<p>This is a feed of NWS Alerts for the state of California. It is brought in programatically from the NWS API at: <a target='_blank' href='https://api.weather.gov/alerts/active.' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>https://api.weather.gov/alerts/active.</a></p><p>The following fields are taken directly from the API response:</p><ul><li><strong>description</strong>: An object representing a public alert message. Unless otherwise noted, the fields in this object correspond to the National Weather Service CAP v1.2 specification, which extends the OASIS Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) v1.2 specification and USA Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) Profile v1.0.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>sent: </strong>The time of the origination of the alert message.</li><li><strong>effective: </strong>The effective time of the information of the alert message.</li><li><strong>onset: </strong>The expected time of the beginning of the subject event of the alert message.</li><li><strong>expires: </strong>The expiry time of the information of the alert message.</li><li><strong>ends</strong>: The expected end time of the subject event of the alert message</li><li><strong>status</strong>: one of Actual, Exercise, System, Test, Draft</li><li><strong>messageType</strong>: one of Alert, Update, Cancel, Ack, Error</li><li><strong>category</strong>: The code denoting the category of the subject event of the alert message. One of &nbsp;Met, Geo, Safety, Security, Rescue, Fire, Health, Env, Transport, Infra, CBRNE, Other</li><li><strong>severity</strong>: One of Extreme, Severe, Moderate, Minor, Unknown</li><li><strong>sender</strong>: Email address of the NWS webmaster</li><li><strong>senderName</strong>: The text naming the originator of the alert message</li><li><strong>urgency</strong>: One of Immediate, Expected, Future, Past, Unknown</li><li><strong>event</strong>: The text denoting the type of the subject event of the alert message.</li><li><strong>headline</strong>: The text headline of the alert message.</li><li><strong>instruction:</strong> The text describing the recommended action to be taken by recipients of the alert message.</li><li><strong>response: &nbsp;</strong>The code denoting the type of action recommended for the target audience. This corresponds to responseType in the CAP specification.
