Natura 2000 Bird protection areas are one of three international nature conservation areas, collectively referred to as Natura 2000. Natura 2000 includes: Natura 2000 Bird Protection Areas, Natura 2000 Habitat Areas and Ramsar Areas. Bird protection areas help to maintain and safeguard habitats.
