This study aims to explore the intricate microbiome interactions between Ningxiang pig mothers and their piglets. We collected comprehensive samples from Ningxiang sows and their offspring during critical developmental stages, specifically the lactation and nursery periods. The samples include feces, colostrum, and vaginal swabs, which were subjected to both 16S rRNA gene sequencing and metagenomic analyses.
