Italy: cyber attack techniques used to commit economic crime 2017

This statistic shows the results of a survey conducted in Italy in 2017 among 164 companies, mainly small- sized enterprises active in the manufacturing sector. During the survey, employees were asked to indicate which kind of cyber-attack technique has been used when committing economic crime against their organization. According to data, in 2017, Italian organizations were targeted by cyber criminals mainly through malware- (41 percent) and phishing (35 percent) techniques.
